As of 1 January 2018, Fieldturf Benelux will completely be absorbed by Tarkett Sports, part of the Tarkett Group. All artificial grass activities will be conducted by Fieldturf Tarkett while the natural grass and hybride surfaces activities will be conducted by the hybrid division of Tarkett Sports.

The management team remains the same. Arjan Knottnerus and Adrie Markusse will remain responsible for all activities within the Benelux. Brands like Fieldturf and Desso will also be maintained.

The new offices will be located at the Tarkett offices in Oss, the Netherlands. 'From here Tarkett coordinates all hybrid activities worldwide. They also have a large warehouse and sufficient office capacity,' Arjan Knottnerus explains. He believes that the market for hybrid products like the Grassmaster and Playmaster will bloom in the next few years. 'We have noticed an increase in the market for hybrid fields in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2017 we installed 7 Grassmaster fields in the Netherlands alone. And the Amsterdam Arena opted for a Playmaster field. We believe this growth will continue in 2018.'

Turnover of Fieldturf Benelux has been a steady 13.5 million euros per annum. The company installs approximately 580.000 sqm artificial grass per year, making it one of the biggest installing companies in its markets.
